Lie on your back with arms extended out to the sides for stability. With knees bent at nearly 90 degrees, lift your legs so your thighs are perpendicular to the ground. Keeping your knees bent and legs together, rotate your hips to lower your legs to one side, trying to get them close to the ground without touching. Lift them back to center and then lower to the other side.
Common Mistakes
Rotating the entire body or lifting the opposite shoulder off the ground. Relying on momentum rather than controlled, deliberate core engagement.

Exhale as you lower the legs to the side; inhale as you return them to the center.
